Georgia plane crash near a General Mills factory kills two


COVINGTON, Ga. – Two people had been killed when a smaller plane has crashed near a Basic Mills plant about 35 miles east of Atlanta, officers confirmed.

“Obviously this was a devastating crash and there are no survivors,” Covington police Capt. Ken Malcom said Thursday evening, according to The Atlanta Journal-Structure

Crews had recovered a person human body as of late Thursday, Fox 5 Atlanta noted.

“We are working on a lead to decide who the victims were being in the crash,” Malcom claimed, including it was a relief the incident did not strike the cereal manufacturer’s plant shut by. “The simple fact that it did not crash into the plant saved a lot of life.”

According to witnesses, the plane experienced departed from Covington Municipal Airport all over 6:45 p.m., law enforcement mentioned.
