A compact aircraft crash Thursday at a Standard Mills plant in Georgia killed everybody on board, officials reported.
It’s unclear how many individuals ended up aboard the Cessna 340 when it crashed at 6:45 p.m. in Covington, Capt. Ken Malcom, with the Covington Law enforcement Section said.
The twin motor aircraft was traveling from Covington Airport when it “veered sharply in a northeast course and went down crashing into a few empty tractor trailers on the house of Common Mills,” Malcom said.
Malcom instructed NBC affiliate WXIA of Atlanta that the airplane exploded on effects. A fire triggered by the crash was contained, he explained.
The Nationwide Transportation Basic safety Board mentioned Thursday that it would be investigating the crash.
General Mills mentioned in a statement that no staff of the meals company ended up damage.
